Dr. Katie Lundberg has a unique skillset she brings to her Salem acupuncture clinic. She has seen the impressive results that the combination of acupuncture and natural medicine has on a person’s quality of life as well as the speed of their recovery. With more than a decade of experience and many tools at her fingertips, Dr. Lundberg is able to design a personalized treatment plan.
She earned her Naturopathic Medical degree and Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University, training at Longhua hospital in Shanghai, China focusing on gynecological issues and completed a residency in women’s health. She has worked extensively with patients undergoing cancer treatment and completed training with the late Dr. Richard Tan to effectively address pain.
Dr. Lundberg is lucky to have had the opportunity to train under Mats Sexton LAc, a veteran eye disease specialist, to focus her practice on Chinese Ophthalmology, treating degenerative eye conditions including macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic neuropathy, and hereditary eye diseases like retinitis pigmentosa and Stargardt’s and she’s one of the few acupuncturists nationwide trained in these protocols. Her mission is to dramatically improve the quality of her patients lives, give hope to them, and help them keep their independence as long as possible.
